Amelia Moore just dropped her latest project, he’s still just not that into you!, a continuation of her 2024 release and yet another showcase of the Georgia-born, LA-based alt-R&B artist’s infectious style, impressive vocals and introspective writing.

Nearly ten years into “taking [herself] seriously as an artist,” Amelia’s journey from a homeschooled theatre kid to a college dropout formed important stepping stones to making her dream a reality. Recently signed to Republic Records, the twenty-four-year-old is bringing her fun, fresh and flirty sound to new levels and new audiences.

Amelia is simultaneously fiery and cool, exploring life’s highs and lows with cleverness and vulnerability, not just through her own unmistakable orange identity, but also in the writers' room with other artists.

It’s simple - Amelia Moore is a rising star, and you’d better get used to hearing her name.

Q&A with Amelia Moore:

Q: “This new release is part two of the mixtape you dropped last year. Was a part two always in the plan, or did it naturally evolve into that?”

A: “I think it was always a thought in my mind, but the way that it has come together has been greater than I was hoping for it to be whenever I first started to put the tracklist for the first project together. I’m really, really proud of how this part two came out, and all the marketing and visuals going into it has been a lot of fun to shoot.”

Q: “Did you have any experiences or inspirations that helped you with the songwriting process?”

A: “I think the only way I really know how to write songs is from a really, really vulnerable place and a lot of my songs even from my first project, teaching a robot to love, were songs I just had to write to get off my chest and there are definitely some vulnerable moments on this mixtape too, so I’m excited for everyone to hear.”

Q: “What piece of advice would you give to artists just starting out?”

A: “I always reference this Victoria Monét interview when somebody asks me a question like this because…her answer has really stuck with me. She said something along the lines of: ‘Sit yourself down, ask yourself in the mirror, ‘Do I wanna do this for ten years without any guarantee that it’s going to work out?’ and if the answer is ‘yes,’ then you know this is probably something that you should be doing.’ Cause girl, it be taking that long – it really does. I’m 24 now, and I started taking myself seriously as an artist when I was 15. So, you gotta really hang in there, and it's going to get hard. I think one of the main reasons why I love what is happening with the women in pop music right now who are killing it, is that they’ve been doing it for so long. It's just about hanging in there and not giving up.”
